Our Activities
Summer Outings
In the summer, we switch things up with outings and outdoor activities instead of our reminiscence group on the third Friday of the month. These can be local to Romsey, like visiting Romsey Abbey, King John’s House & Garden, the Signal Box, the community allotment and taking walks around Romsey, or nearby, such as a train trip to play skittles at Dunbridge, visiting Gilberts Dahlia Field and Winchester Art Gallery.
Collaborative Activities
Now a regular part of our programme, we visit Abbotswood Court Care Home when there is a fifth Friday in the month. Abbotswood Court Care Home kindly hosts a joint activity four times a year, giving us a chance to do something different from what we could do on our own. We have enjoyed activities like accessible cycling, cream tea and garden games, a Caribbean party with a steel band, a ‘Bubbleman’, circus skills and craft activities.
We are always in for a treat!
Information Stands
